This season, knits could be seen in so many runway shows, the only thing for us to take into consideration is the way we should match it in order to look good. There is no problem in pairing knitted pieces with feminine and sophisticated items, such as high-heels and fine, thin leather belts. You can wear it as seen at Christian Dior, matched with a super delicate chiffon dress for a romantic look. In the Loewe collection, the knitted dress is worn with a fine belt at the waist, delicate tights and a pair of stilettos for a casual-chic look. We have also seen the knitted trend at Miuccia Prada, Marc Jacobs, Michael Kors and Chloé.

Rich velvet made a strong comeback for fall/winter 2010-2011. From a more classic approach as seen at Dolce&Gabbana, with an elegant, feminine bustier dress, to a more masculine feeling at D&G, velvet proves its versatility and timeless character once again. A straight cut blazer and a suit jacket matched with printed pants, or shorts, and a pair of furry boots at D&G reveals an interesting sporty-chic trend. You can also see this incredible fabric at Alexander Wang with a mini dress with pagoda sleeves made from lace with velvet edges, in a more sensual and sexy approach.
